
The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on ICT, Hon. Tomide Akinribido, met with the Country Manager of Microsoft Nigeria and Ghana, Mrs. Olatomiwa Williams, at the company’s Ikoyi head office in Lagos, as part of efforts to accelerate digital transformation in Ondo State.
The meeting focused on evaluating progress in ICT penetration across the state and exploring new collaborative initiatives to strengthen digital governance under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Discussions included potential implementation of Microsoft’s Campus and School Agreement (CASA) to advance tech education and digital skills development, as well as AI-driven solutions to foster inclusive citizen engagement and improve government responsiveness.
Hon. Akinribido expressed appreciation on behalf of Governor Aiyedatiwa to the Microsoft Nigeria team, including the Public Sector Director, Abiola Dada, for their warm reception and commitment to innovation-driven governance.
“We are excited about the prospects of working with Microsoft to position Ondo State as a national hub for data-driven governance and technological advancement,” Akinribido said. “This partnership will be instrumental in reshaping how government services are delivered and how young people across the state gain access to future-ready digital skills.”
The partnership discussions mark a significant step in the state’s vision to harness technology for socio-economic development and enhance public service delivery through strategic collaboration with global tech leaders.
