The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has extended warm goodwill to members of the institution’s community on the commencement of the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent, calling for renewed faith, discipline and peaceful coexistence.
In a message released on Wednesday, Dr. Ebeloku described Ramadan and Lent as sacred periods of reflection, sacrifice and spiritual renewal, urging both Muslim and Christian faithful to embrace the values of compassion, generosity and devotion.
He noted that the seasons signify abstinence from vices, spiritual purification and deeper commitment to prayer and fasting, stressing that such virtues are essential in building harmony within the academic community and society at large.
“To the Muslim faithful, as you observe the holy month of Ramadan, may this sacred period strengthen your faith and bring abundant blessings to you and your families,” the Rector said.
“In the same vein, to our Christian faithful, as you embark on the Lenten season, may this solemn period deepen your devotion and fill your hearts with hope and grace.”
Dr. Ebeloku emphasized that the polytechnic community, built on diversity and mutual respect, should use the period to reaffirm commitment to peaceful coexistence, moral integrity and collective progress.
He urged staff and students to support one another and contribute positively to the growth of the institution and national development, praying for peace and renewed blessings for all.
The Rector concluded by wishing members of the polytechnic community a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and a grace-filled Lenten season.
