Dr. Ajaka was among the newly appointed commissioners inaugurated by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as part of efforts to strengthen governance and fast-track development across the state.

In a statement issued through her Senior Legislative Aide, Lemadoro Felix Ife, the lawmaker representing Ilaje Constituency II described the appointment as “a clear testament to Dr. Ajaka’s unwavering dedication, competence, and passion for public service.”

Hon. Fayemi-Obayelu emphasized that the new commissioners’ emergence comes at a pivotal moment in Ondo State’s development trajectory. According to her, the appointments have renewed hope and strengthened public confidence in the Governor’s ability to deliver on his administration’s E.A.S.E Agenda, a roadmap for economic, administrative, social, and educational reforms.

“I have firm confidence in Dr. Ajaka and his colleagues to drive impactful transformation and contribute meaningfully to the progress of our dear state,” she said.

  • As the world celebrates Father’s Day, Pastor Emmanuel Ademola, the Funder, senior Pastor,  of Christ Renewal Church of All Nations, Aratunsi, Oke Aro Akure, Ondo state, has called on fathers to take their God-given responsibilities seriously by leading their families with love, care, and spiritual guidance.

Speaking during a special Father’s Day service, Pastor Ademola emphasized that fathers are more than just providers, they are also spiritual leaders and role models to their children.

“Every father is the pastor of his home,” he said. “You are the spiritual head of that little church called your family. You must give direction and lead by example.”

The cleric urged fathers to embody Christ-like character and provide not only material needs but also emotional and spiritual support to their families. He noted that fatherhood is not defined solely by biological ties, as any man who takes responsibility for a child’s upbringing is worthy of the title.

Citing a testimony from a church member, he recounted how a man who raised an adopted child later benefited from the child’s success. “Had he not played the role of a father, he may never have enjoyed that blessing,” Pastor Ademola noted.

The cleric also spoke against domestic violence, stressing the importance of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in the home.

“Fathers, never raise your hands against your wives, especially in the presence of your children. Seek counseling if you are facing challenges,” he advised. “Mothers, too, should encourage strong, healthy bonds between fathers and their children.”

Addressing common parenting issues, Pastor Ademola cautioned against excessive discipline, urging fathers to correct their children with love.

“It’s wrong to beat a child into a coma just because they made a mistake. Ask yourself: did you not make such mistakes when you were their age?”

He further charged fathers to live in a way that inspires their children. “Can your daughter confidently say she wants a husband like her father?” he asked, urging men to model Christ-like behavior and integrity.

Quoting Matthew 5:48 and 1 Timothy 5:8, the pastor reminded fathers to strive for perfection in character and to fulfill their obligation to provide for their families.

He concluded by urging parents to pray for their homes, spend quality time with their children, and avoid lifestyles that distance them from their families.

“Let us correct in love, lead in truth, and love in action,” he said.
