The newly opened stations are strategically positioned at Ijoka Road, Oke Aro, and Oke Ijebu, ensuring convenient access for residents across Akure metropolis.

The simultaneous launch of the three stations underscores J.Mobil Oil’s dedication to improving fuel availability and easing the economic burden on residents, particularly during the festive season.
REFORMATION IS NECESSARY ACROSS NIGERIA, NOTHING IS FUNCTIONING AS BENEFIT FOR THE PEOPLE
By Prince Emorioloye Owolemi
New Year Message
Nigeria, a nation of millions, is governed and poorly served by a mere 0.5% of its population, a reflection of the dysfunctional autocratic democracy we currently practice.
It is unfortunate that politicians campaign against each other, promising change, only to perpetuate the same failures they initially decried upon assuming office. This cycle has made it clear that nothing in Nigeria is praiseworthy without significant reformation.
In this regard, the reformation of the youth system is imperative. Youths are the backbone of any society, capable of either perpetuating evils or championing good deeds when properly guided and encouraged. However, the democracy we practice in Nigeria is far from ideal. It thrives on natural justice, where power rests solely on positions and the exploitation of communities.
To truly reform Nigeria, we must start from our communities. Reforming your immediate environment creates a ripple effect, leading to a collective transformation of the nation. It is illogical to attempt to build outside one’s community while neglecting the foundation within. Only when you reform your community can you earn the trust to effect change beyond it.
The existing system is a recipe for calamity without reformation. Over the years, I have approached development differently, focusing on long-term benefits for the people, regardless of the time it takes.
President Tinubu’s policies, though controversial, signify a form of reformation. Many have been adversely affected due to a lack of preparedness for these changes. Reformation is never easy, especially for those accustomed to benefitting from irregularities. However, it is a necessary adjustment to modify societal wrongs.
A critical area of concern is the role of youth organizations. These associations, recognized and empowered by the government, must serve as the first line of internal security within their communities. Instead, many have turned into platforms for violence and crime. When leaders of youth associations are empowered without ensuring the collective commitment of their members, the result is disillusionment and criminality. This situation must be condemned.
Empowering only the leaders of youth groups while others are left to become tools for violence is detrimental. Youths are the major stakeholders in their communities and must prioritize public interest over personal gain.
As we prepare for 2025, it is vital to embrace the overdue reformation that Nigeria desperately needs. Change is inevitable, and it is time to align ourselves with the transformative processes required to build a better nation.
Honourable John Ogunmoyero, the Chief Executive Officer of HOJ Movement of Liberation, has warmly extended his New Year greetings to the good people of Ondo East Local Government.

Promise Awosanmi came to the rescue as Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure strolled past El-Kanemi Warriors in the match day 18 tie of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Owena Whales waited till the 84th minute before breaking the deadlock through Promise Awosanmi who beat goalkeeper George Abine from Elmer Arunta’s pass.
Sunshine Stars started the encounter on a bright note with good exchange of passes but were unable to find the back of the net despite creating goal scoring opportunities in the first half.
All efforts from the visitors to break the brick wall of Sunshine Stars defence in the second half was resisted by the backline coordinated by team captain Chidozie Iwundu and assisted by Adebayo Alimi and Yusuf Olowoshile.
Opeoluwa Olufemi thought he had given the home team the lead in the 68th minute only to see his short parried away by Abine.
El kanemi Warriors were reduced to ten men in the 78th minute as one their players received the marching order for the second yellow cards.
Sunshine Stars chief Coach, Bobola Akinfolarin in a his post match interview commended his players for the job well done, saying he was very happy for the victory under under the new Technical Adviser, Abubakar Bala.

Sunshine Stars are currently 13th on the log and will take on Ikorodu City behind closed doors at Onikan stadium, Lagos.
Sunshine Stars Football Club and Enyimba International will both rue their missed chances in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL match day 13 at Aba Township Stadium.
A more determined Sunshine Stars were in control of the game from the blast of the whistle against their lethargic hosts who were playing a third competitive game within a week.
The center referee was not convinced enough to award a penalty to Sunshine Stars in the 10th minute after Chinedu Nwosu seemed to have been fouled in the vital area.
Again, the Owena Whales would have been ahead in the first half but were found wanting due to their inability to convert goal scoring chances.
At the rear, goalkeeper Emmanuel Ofori stood between the sticks to prevent Austin Onyemaechi and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele from hitting the target for the People’s Elephants.
With the hard fought goalless draw, Sunshine Stars remain 17th on the log with 18 points and will next visit Niger Tornadoes in Minna.
“I thank God for the result but our plan was to come here, pick the maximum points against Enyimba International,” Sunshine Stars coach Bobola Akinfolarin said.
Akinfolarin added that his side would continue to work on goal scoring which he said has been the team’s greatest undoing so far.
“We would have been 3-0 ahead in the first half but we were wasteful in front of goal.”
