
The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has charged members of the institution’s community to demonstrate utmost dedication to duty and a renewed commitment to quality service delivery in the year 2026.
Dr. Ebeloku gave the charge in a new year message to staff and students at the beginning of the second week of the year, where he described the new year as an opportunity for reflection, repositioning and recommitment to excellence.
He said the polytechnic, as a citadel of academic excellence, innovation and character development, must embrace the year with unity, resilience and a clear sense of purpose, stressing the need for discipline, integrity, professionalism and mutual respect in all engagements.
The rector urged both academic and non-teaching staff to remain steadfast in their responsibilities, noting that their dedication and openness to continuous improvement are critical to institutional growth and the moulding of future leaders.
Dr. Ebeloku also congratulated newly promoted staff, as well as those converted to new cadres or re-designated with new job titles, describing their elevation as a reward for hard work, diligence and perseverance. He encouraged them to sustain the zeal that earned them the recognition.
Addressing students, the rector admonished them to renew their focus on academic excellence, conduct themselves responsibly and take advantage of available opportunities to excel in their studies, urging them to be worthy ambassadors of the institution.
He further announced that admission for the 2025/2026 academic session is still ongoing, calling on members of the polytechnic community to help spread the information and encourage prospective candidates to choose the institution for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.
Reiterating his commitment to the growth and stability of the institution, Dr. Ebeloku emphasised that peace, tranquility and harmony must remain the watchword of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.
He concluded by wishing staff and students a productive, peaceful and fulfilling new week.
