By Seye Fakinlede

In a bid to celebrate the joy of bringing forth into the world, family, friends and well-wishers trouped to celebrate the family of Mr and Mrs Kayode Olabanji as they name their new baby girl.

The naming ceremony was held at Christ Renewal Church of All Nations, at Aratunsi, Oke Aro, Akure, on Sunday.

During the sermon, Pastor Solomon Okorie told the congregants that the baby who is God’s gift is not only for the family but the church of God as well, as the child is also a gift for the nation.

He said, ” children are gifts from God, this is why the parents are saddled with the responsibility to take care of the child and having both parents is a great lesson.”

Okorie advised the parents to train the child, and not neglect the place of discipline. He said training begins from breastfeeding. And he advised parents to be role models while they show their children the pathway to God and emphasized the importance of education, adding that the child should be trained to respect her parents, elders, authority and God.

He, therefore, prayed that God would open the door for sufficiency as the baby is added to their family.
