Bill Seeking Establishment Of FRSC command Ibadan By Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin Scale Second Reading

A bill seeking the establishment of The Federal Road Safety Commission Command and Staff College Ibadan have scaled through the second reading on the floor of the National Assembly.

Rt. Honourable Mayowa Akinfolarin the Member of Representative, representing the people of Okeigbo/Ileoluji & Odigbo Federal Constituency who is also the Chairman House Committee on Federal Road Safety Commission while presenting the bill for a second reading move a motion for an “Act to establish Federal Road Safety Commission Command and Staff College Ibadan which is to serve as a high level centre for training of Federal Road Safety Corp personnel of strategic sister Agencies, relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies and as a centre for research in road traffic administration and for related matters”.

The bill aside other benefits seek to enhance the capacity and professionalism of corp marshals and staff of the Commission, thereby creating an enabling environment for the training and retraining of staff of the Commission and other relevant agencies about road safety administration and management. This is to ensure that Road Safety personnel are well trained and enlightened in other to be kept abreast with international standards and practices across the globe and to be at par with their international counterparts.

It should be recalled that earlier this year the bill was first laid on the floor of the house.
