The Executive Chairman Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi has called on Christians faithful to imbibe the spirit of Jesus Christ which is all about peace, tolerance, love and giving as they celebrate the Easter.
Olaniyi in his Easter message which was made available to the newsmen through his Senior Special Assistant on Multimedia, Martins Fasusi.
He said” I join all Christian Brothers and Sisters to celebrate this year’s Easter which commemorates the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ after Crucification.
I therefore appealled to all Christian faithful to embrace the spirit of love,peace and tolerance which is all what Jesus Christ represents.
We should also have faith and confident in God that the country will triumph over all her present challenges.
The number one Citizen urged Nigerians and all residents of Akure to remain strong and steadfast as the country is confronting with her worst Insecurity situation.
He, therefore, called on all residents of the local government and Nigeria in general to be security conscious by reporting any suspicious movements and activities of the criminals to the relevant security agencies.
